PRIVATE INCA TRAIL 5 DAYS

This Inca trail tour goes along paths that are not very visited. The first day you walk along the path along the sacred valley, the first archeological site to visit is Salonpunko, which is very beautiful for its cyclopean-style walls, then you reach the Qoriwayrachina sector, which includes a series of agricultural terraces Inca era. And the Llaqtapa sector is also explored. The next few days you will walk along an original Inca trail, which crosses the Andes entering the mysterious cloud forests. On the way to Machu Picchu you will go through different Inca temples, the most beautiful are those of Phuyupatamarka, and Wiñayhuayna. This tour is a slower program and you walk short distances.

Explore the last route of the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. The 5-day trek you will travel along the oldest roads used by the Incas to Machu Picchu, you can see the most important ceremonial centers, their houses and temples that have not changed over time, breathtaking views of the Andean landscape, forests of Mountain and the jungle. You can also enjoy exquisite cuisine prepared by our chefs. All our staff are from the communities of Cusco, which still preserve their traditions.

Day 1

CUSCO – KM 82 (PISKACUCHO) – QORIWAYRACHINA - PATALLAQATA

We pick you up at 6.00am from  your hotel, then we  drive in our private transport  to Ollantaytambo passing the picturesque villages of Chinchero and Urubamba. We continue to the Km 82 where we start walking  toward Patallacta (2,650m/8,747ft), this path is a ancient and the original inca trail conected teh sacred valley wit Machu Picchu, the first inca siet to visist is Salonpunku, then Kanabamba, both with mangifique architecture details. At Midday we will arrive to the village of Qoriwayrachina where we stop for the Lunch. The we have to cross the colonial bridge and climb up to the camping site of Chamana. In the afternoon we explore the amazing archaeological site of Patallacta, this place is one  of the most big inca villages you will see in the inca trail to Machu Picchu, it has palaces, houses, temples and agricultural sectors, wich is  surrounding by snow-capped mountains.

 

Day 2

PATALLACTA – WAYLLABAMBA – LLULLUCHAPAMPA

We wake up at 6:30am; after a delicious breakfast we start the  trekking through the Kusichaca Valley enjoying a myriad of flora and fauna, arriving at Ayapata for lunch. After lunch we walk up a moderate hill for  the next 2 hours through the mountain forest where you can see humminbirds, andean sparrows, ancient trees of qeuña, itimpa typical of the highlands, our second camp will be  Llulluchapampa (3800m/12,537ft),  where we have our high tea, enjoying all of the beautiful scenery surrounding us.

Day 3

LLULLUCHAPAMPA – PAQAYMAYU – CH´AQUICOCHA – PHUYUPATAMARCA

Today is the longest day of our trek  and the most beautiful. After a delicious breakfast we walk uphill for one  hour to reach the highest point of our trek: the Warmiwañusca pass (Dead Woman pass) located at 4,200m/13,907ft. From here we may enjoy the spectacular views of different microclimates, magnificent mountains, beautiful green valleys, and a myriad of flora and fauna. After we have a time to enjoy this beautiful sight, we descend for two hours to Pacaymayu. Then, we ascend towards the archaeological site of Runcurakay (3,800m/12,540ft) to explore it for awhile and continue walking to the second Runcurakay pass (3,977m/13,127ft).  Here we can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and stunning lakes. Continuing on our journey we descend for one hour to the next archaeological site of Sayacmarca (3,600m/11,877ft). At 13:00 pm we will arrive to chaquicocha ,where we will have our Lunch. Finally we walk for two more hours until our third camp site at Phuyupatamarca (3,650m/12,047ft).

 

Day 4

PHUYUPATAMARCA – WIÑAYWAYNA – MACHU PICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES

Today you will visit teh most beautiful scenary of cloud forest . We wake up early in the morning for breakfast, afterwards we walk down stairs towards the archaeological site of Intipata, and then down to Wiñaywayna (2,650m/8,747ft) for lunch. After that we will visit the stunning Inca site of Wiñaywayna, continuing for one hour to the SUN GATE (2,720m/8,977ft), where we can enjoy the first spectacular view of Machu Picchu in all its brilliance and majestic monumentality. Then we descent to   Machu Picchu Citadel.  Finally we take our bus to Aguas Calientes where we spend the night in confortable  hotel.

 

 

Day 5

TOUR IN MACHU PICCHU - RETURN TO CUSCO

This day is one of the most important as you will have the opportunity to visit the fabulous temples and sacred sites of the Incas. You should get up at 5:00 am, and then take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu at 5:30 am. Our Machu Picchu tickets are authorized to enter the first time 6:00 am; Within the citadel you will have a guided tour of the most important sites for an hour and a half, then you can stay a little longer and explore on your own. Since the Machu Picchu ticket is valid only for one use, if a person goes out to use the hygienic services for example, he will not be able to re-enter the sanctuary, we recommend going down to the town of Aguas Calientes  at 11:00 am, since  the 5 hours inside Machu Picchu are enough to know and take all the possible photos.
The return train is scheduled at 14:30 pm, bound for the Ollantaytambo station, this trip takes approximately 1h 45m. Then you will be picked up by our condutor and will be arriving at your hotel in the city of Cusco at 18:45 pm approx.
